課程概述

This course is to train students on presenting literature as well as the study design of their thesis. This course also includes special lecture on topics related to research design and implementation. 

課程目標
1. After taking this course, students should have the ability to collect, summarize reports, and review journal literature. Based on what they learned from Research Method and other courses, students have to search and review the literature relevant to their study.
2. They have to build, and practice in this course, the ability to criticize the papers they reviewed and provide thoughtful and valuable comments to their classmates as well. By asking questions to the presenters, students can develop the ability to comment on literature, respond to comments and questions in a confident manner. In addition, through presenting literature, this course will assist students to find the subject of the master's thesis.

2. They have to build, and practice in this course, the ability to criticise the papers they reviewed and provide thoughtful and valuable comments to their classmates as well. 課程要求
1. Each student should present at least twice (depending on the number of enrolled students) in this course: one is to present selected paper(s) relevant to their thesis study; the second is to present the study design of their study. Preliminary results of their study can be included in the presentation if available.
2. All students will in turn be assigned as commenters for the presentation of literature or study design.
3. All students have to give an evaluation for the performance of commenters and presenters.
4. Students who act as a presenter should provide their slide decks/papers to all the attendees one week before the presentation.
5. Students who act as a commenter should provide one-page written comments to their classmates and teachers after the class.
